Digital X-Rays: Digital x-rays allow for detailed images of teeth and bone for diagnosis of dental disease. The use of a scanned imaging plate instead of film allows for the least possible amount of radiation exposure. Another advantage is easy communication of images with specialists, or insurance companies.

Laser Cavity Detection: Tooth decay can hide in deep anatomical grooves and on demineralized smooth surfaces. Laser assisted devices, such as Diagnodent, measure the amount of bacteria in the sites and aid in the early diagnosis of tooth decay that require treatment.

Intra Oral Camera: A small digital camera about the size of an electric toothbrush can be used to acquire images of teeth and soft tissues. These are often taken for documentation and educational purposes.
